a dit...
LOL
It's funny that that release coincides with them bowing out of the Maclean's ranking thing. I was looking at Maclean's this year and it just really sucks because all the good universities withheld their information and refused to be ranked... which means that it was a list of mediocre universities clamming for top spot cuz the REAL universities were no longer listed.
Good job Lydia, you have good taste in universities and cities (tho some might disagree :P)
...don't you think it's a bit hypocritical to appear in the Newsweek rankings and pull out of Maclean's?
Regardless, I don't think that rankings like this are going to entice undergrad students to apply. Grad students, I assume (hope!), would be choosing a school based on the research being done, not Newsweek's or Macleans' opinion. Even if they are based on "facts" and whatnot.
The only reason that i say that the macleans thing sucks so much this year is because you can't make heads or tales out of what they mean. I mean for pete's sakes their categories are "excellent" "good" "yes" "probably yes"... there are NO negatives in the survey? WHA?
Lol and nevermind about my mediocre university rankings thing... it was actually New Brunkswick, Windsor, and York that gave NO information -_-
And a pile of others on a bunch of other rankings. Meh, the universities that rank high on these things are always the smaller institutions tho because the Maclean's survey is a popularity poll about which students like their school more. Dunno about Newweek.

Did Waterloo bow out of the rankings too? because it clearly is not a mediocre university...

Oh yeah, and btw, ROFLMAO at Strongbad. Art test is so that we can make fun of you.
*tears from laughing so hard*
There's an easter egg in that one (as with most of them)...if you click on the "G" (I think) in "Dagron", there's a hidden bit with Homsar :P
hmm, i dont' think its hypocritical since the method of ranking is different.
it would be however, if their ranking methods were the same.
