Today, i celebrated my birthday with two of the girls i disciple. What fun! Everyone should celebrate their birthday 4.5 months after the actual day!
More and more, the older i get, the more out of place i sometimes (only sometimes!) feel on campus. It gets kinda lonely sometimes, because i want to be friends with students, but the older i get, the less i'm seen as a friend. [end sob fest]
Tonight was fun!

Dorrie once told me (I feel like it was in NA, so perhaps you were there) that there is a gradual transition when you're on staff from being seen as a friend, to an older sister, to a mom.
Or in my case, a friend, to an older brother, to a dad.
I'm guessing you're probably in that transition. It's healthy to move from one stage to the next and the good news is, it invites new opportunities for you to speak into their lives in different ways.
